  1. A "guajira" or a "guaracha" are both words that mean a cha-cha that is slow enough to be almost be considered a dance ballad.

    Songs not mentioned above that cover it include "Besame Mucho", and the famous guajira classic, "Guantanamera" (Lady from Guantanamo).

    Also.......
    "Cumbia" focuses on Colombian cumbia. Mexican cumbia is not covered here, but one of the songs that could fit in is "Amor a la Mexicana", sung by Thalia.
